This is a graceful vintage Maru obi with 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'Ume'(Plum blossoms) and "Fuji" (wisteria) on fan design, which is embroidered.
A lot of gold foil thread is added to the three dimensional and vivid embroidery design.
This piece was woven by Kawashima Weaving Co., one of the most famous obi weavers.
You can see the three lines and 'gunpai'(referee's fan) mark on the tare end, which are the evidence of Kawashima's obi.
Embroidery work is added to the on almost all fan design on the right side.
Embroidery part of the wrong side are three.
Textile is exquisite silk and has light touch.

Although not shown on the figure, it has slight discoloration on the base allover, and has tiny patinas partly.
It has some tiny pin holes on the edges of 'otaiko'(square bow)
It has slight and blackish stains on upper and bottom 'otaiko'(square bow).
And it has some other stains than the figure shown.
They could be hidden when you tie it, or they are slight and not noticeable.
(It has a slight stain on 'tare'(wide end), streaky stains between 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front pattern on belly), and has a rather big water stain and two rather tiny stains.)
It has rather prominent streaky smudges on the solid part of the narrow belt part, that could be hidden when you tie it.
It has folding lines a little on 'taresaki'(end of part).
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
