This is a stylish shioze opened Nagoya obi with 'hana karakusa' (flower arabesque) design, which is dyed on the light orange color ombre dyeing base.
This is a no 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
Textile is Shioze silk, and it has soft and comfortable smooth touch which is the feature of Shioze silk.
There is a dyer's signature on the wrong side 'tare'(wide end).
This piece is designed by Sansai Saito, a famous kimono designer.

Although not shown on the figure, it has a tiny and brownish stain on the lower right of 'otaiko'(square bow), that is not so noticeable.
It also has some other flaws such as folding lines.

Though it has some flaws, it is still wearable enough.

Sansai Saito
One of the leading kimono designers known for his distinctive sense in beauty of the color and innovative design.
He was influenced by his father who was a dyer, Saisaburo Saito.
Ever since his work was appeared in a popular magazine "the beautiful kimono" in 1965, he came to be taken up by various media such as TV and magazines.
His son, Jotaro, has also succeeded as a kimono designer and works actively at present.
