This is a graceful reversible zentsu(fully patterned) Fukuro obi with 'kawarake'(tile fragment) pattern, which is woven.
It seems to be remade from Maru obi of Meiji period(1868-1912)
It has 'Shishi'(lion) and flower pattern, which is woven.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The both side is same fabric.

As the figure shown, it has some frays, the fabric seems to be getting weak. (4th, 5th flaw photo)
It has frays on the corner of 'taresaki'(end of part).(1st flaw photo)
The stitch on kaikiri lines(end mark line) is coming loose. (2nd flaw photo)
It has a tear caused by fray on 'tesaki'(narrow end).
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

Unfortunately it is no longer wearable.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
