This is an elegant Hon-Fukuro obi with tearing shikishi(square paper) pattern, which is woven with shiny foil threads.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
There is a gunpai-mark(referee's fan) , which is distinct features of textile woven by Kawashima Weaving Co, one of the most famous obi weavers in Kyoto.
Lining is not added inside.
Both ends seems to be sewn by amateur roughly.

It has slight discoloration on the plain part, and smudges and slight stains on the lining.
These flaws will be hidden when tied.
It has other flaws such as slight folding lines, so for the detail please check figures and photos.

Please enjoy its elegant piece.

*Kawashima Textiles Co.*

In 1843, company founder, Jimbei Kawashima, opened a fabrics store in Nishijin, Kyoto.
Now Kawashima has two ongoing businesses, traditional garments/textiles and interior products, such as curtains.
The three lines and Gunpai, referee's fan, emblem are the two significant marks of the brand.
The brand is famous because their products and design are elegant, detailed and sophisticated.
Their Hon Fukuro obi is especially highly evaluated for its comfortableness and evenness in thickness.
