This is a tasteful tsume-tsuzure Nagoya obi with kai-awase(shell matching game in the Heian period) and people of Heian period (792-1192) design, which is woven on the woven silver threads base.
Gold foil threads are woven on its design and shine elegantly.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure weave.

'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.

One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.

It has slight discoloration and patinas but not noticeable.(reffer to the 2nd and 3rd photo of flaws)
It has other flaws such as prominent folding lines, so for the detail please check figures and photos.

If you do not mind these flaws, it still can be tied.
Please enjoy its charming fashion!
