This is a vintage summer Ro Nagoya obi with a stream pattern, which is woven on the ivory base.
Silver foil threads are woven in the pattern.
This piece is made by Kawashima Weaving Co., one of the most famous obi weavers.
Textile is transparent ro exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Thick lining is added inside, so it is not much transparent, when tied.
There is a gunpai-mark(referee's fan) and three lines, which are distinct features of textile woven by Kawashima Weaving Co, one of the most famous obi weavers in Kyoto.
The length is rather short, 131.5in(334cm).

Although not shown on the figure, it has a linear stain on lower kaikiri line(end mark line).
It also has a linear wrinkle on the kaikiri line.
It has folding lines on upper 'otaiko'(square bow) actually.

It has rather noticeable discoloration overall.
It has prominent stains on both 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) sides.
Besides it has folding lines, so for the details please refer to the photos and figure.

It seems to be not suitable to wear due to the stains and discoloration.
Please enjoy its refreshing pattern!

*Kawashima Textiles Co.*

In 1843, company founder, Jimbei Kawashima, opened a fabrics store in Nishijin, Kyoto.
Now Kawashima has two ongoing businesses, traditional garments/textiles and interior products, such as curtains.
The three lines and Gunpai, referee's fan, emblem are the two significant marks of the brand.
The brand is famous because their products and design are elegant, detailed and sophisticated.
Their Hon Fukuro obi is especially highly evaluated for its comfortableness and evenness in thickness.
