What a beautiful design this is!
It is a vintage Nagoya obi
with painting like flower design expressed with wide ribbons.
'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'kaede'(maple leaf), 'sakura'(cherry blossom), rose and some other flowers are embroidered finely and colorfully.
This embroidered design has three-dimensional look.
Textile is shusu(satin) silk and jinken (rayon) blend, and has smooth touch.
Maegara(front design) is only one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.
It has seams on the both ends, and its length is rather long, 161.8in(411cm).
Slight discoloration can be seen on the embroidered part.
Edges and wrong side are frayed partly.
Some embroidered stitches are missing by fray.
Please check photos for details.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy its luxurious fashion!
