This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with peony flower circles on 'kasumi'(mist) pattern, which is woven.
Gold and silver threads woven in the pattern are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) changes depending on the way of wrapping.
Its length is rather short, 152.7in(388cm)
It has rather prominent discoloration and patinas allover.
It has a fray on the corner of 'taresaki'(end of wide part) and 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
It has a smudge on the both edges.
It has a stain(Fifth flaw photo and A) and a hole on 'tesaki'(narrow end).
It also has some other flaws such as folding lines.
