This is a vintage summer ro Maru obi
with flower design such as lilies and 'Shoubu'(iris) on circles, which is woven.
Gold and silver foil threads woven in the design are elegantly shining.
Textile is transparent silk and has slightly textured touch.
It has frays on 'taresaki'(end of wide part) and the threads are missing.
It has a big stain near kaikiri lines(end mark line) (Third flaw photo), and stains on the right side of 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
It has smudges on the both edges.
It also has rather prominent discoloration allover.
It seems like the original owner of this obi enjoyed many fancy bow.
So that there are folding lines from 'taresaki'(end of wide part) to 'tesaki'(narrow end).
It has some other flaws.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
