This is a glamorous Fukuro obi with colorful "Kiri" (paulownia) 'Karakusa'(arabesque) pattern, which is woven by Tatsumura Textile co., ltd, one of the most appreciated leading textile complanies in Japan.
The woven gold foiled threads elegantly shine.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
It is relatively short.(13'4"/408cm)

There is another 'otaiko'(square bow) pattern in between 'otaiko' and 'taresaki'(end of wide part) which will be seen inside of 'otaiko' when you tie it. It is so called "Ura-Taiko" (wrong side taiko). It makes this obi very luxurious which can be seen just a little bit. It is the obi which is outstanding from regular 'otaiko' pattern obi.

There is a woven name of "Tatsumura Heizou Made" on the inside of 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
The part has been unpicked for 3"(8cm) to check the name.
It doesn't have a stiff lining inside.

There are frays on the pattern. TThere are some spots where foils have come off.
There are frays and snags on the edges.
There are very slight folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

Although it has such flaws, it is still in good condition.
Enjoy wearing the distinguish glamorous design.
