This is an amazing Bashofu kimono with tasteful Kasuri
pattern, which is woven.
Bashofu is known to be the top quality summer kimono in Japan and the oldest fabric in Okinawa.
It needs more than 40 Basho tree to weave a bolt of fabric.
Textile has crisp touch.
It is hitoe(unlined).
The collar is hiro-eri(unfolded collar).
The collar lining is transparent ro silk.
There is a large 'Ishikiate'(square piece of reinforcement cloth) attached inside.
There are marks of re-sizing on the both under arms.(B)
(They are marked as repaired tears on the figure.)
There are holes on the left sleeve seam, shoulder top and the back bodice.(A)
There are slight discoloration and patinas on the lining of collar.
There are patinas on the back side of left sleeve.(D)
