This is an elegant Nagoya obi
with 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) on 'kikko' (tortoise shell) design, which is embroidered.
The silver threads woven in the background shine gracefully.
Textile is exquisite thick Tsuzure silk and has smooth touch.
The 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
Though not indicated, it has a stain below the otaiko(square bow).(It quite tiny brownish one below the embroidery work, and will be hidden if tied neatly.)
It also has discoloration by ages overall, and especially the discoloration on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) on the wrong side is prominent.(It will appear when tied.)
The stains on the wrong side of 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is noticeable.
