This is a golden Maru obi by Kawashima Textiles Co. with luxurious 'shippou-tsunagi' (interlocking circles), 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) 'Karakusa' (arabesque) , and folding fans pattern, which is woven.
Lots of gold threads are used and they glitter gorgeously.
Textile is soft silk.
Length is 414cm(13'58"), rather short for Fukuro Obi.

There is a signature of Kawashima inside of Tare end.

Stain on the belt part will not show when tied.
It has no noticeable flaws, and it is in very good condition overall.
It does not have any folding lines, and it seems unworn.
Please see photos for details.

This piece would add extra elegance to your kimono outfit.

*Kawashima Textiles Co.*

In 1843, company founder, Jimbei Kawashima, opened a fabrics store in Nishijin, Kyoto.
Now Kawashima has two ongoing businesses, traditional garments/textiles and interior products, such as curtains.
The three lines and Gunpai, referee's fan, emblem are the two significant marks of the brand.
The brand is famous because their products and design are elegant, detailed and sophisticated.
Their Hon Fukuro obi is especially highly evaluated for its comfortableness and evenness in thickness.
