This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of pair chicken, which is dyed.
Part of the design is woven with cut velvet technique and has three-dimensional look.
Sagara embroidery work is also added to the design finely.
There is a dyed lovely chick motif on the maegara(front patterned part).
Textile is glossy shusu(satin) silk and has soft touch.
Rather thick lining is added inside.
Although not shown on the figure, some stains can be seen on the wrong side of maegara.
However, they are small so not prominent.
Discoloration can be seen overall.
Besides it has some other flaws so please check photos for details.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
