This is an alluring Houmongi
Kimono with a design of grand river, which is dyed with Shibori (tie-dye) technique.
On the mountains, 'kaede'(maple leaf) and Tsujigahana
are designed cheerfully, and flower and leaf are floating on the river.
The gradational clouds and vibrant design are so eye-catching!
Textile is exquisite silk with fine woven pattern and has soft touch.
The collar is Hiro-eri(unfolded).
*The real base color is relatively more greenish than the photos.
It has basting stitches and seems just been cleaned.
As the figure shown, it has slight discoloration.
Especially, blank parts are bothering a little.(C)
The stain(E) on the back right sleeve is deeper than the photo shown, and it is disturbing a little.
Smudges and wear are slight.
Besides it has slight discoloration on the lining.
Please check photos for details.
Although not shown on the figure, it has a slight stain about 3/8in(1cm) each on the left front panel at about 2.8in(7cm) from the top of shoulder, right front panel at about 2.4in(6cm) and 3.9in(10cm) from the top of shoulder, and back right sleeve at about 7.9in(20cm) from the bottom of the sleeve.
However, the stains are not so disturbing with the three-dimensional design.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn at formal occasion.
Please enjoy its luxurious shibori fashion!
