This is a Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of flying crane on mountains, which is woven.
Textile is thick silk and has smooth touch.
It also has "Hatsurikou" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure
Maegara(front design) is only one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, weft yarns of otaiko and maegara are discolored noticeably.
Stains on the tare end are small.
Rather prominent discoloration can be seen on the tare end.
Folding line is also noticeable.
It has some other flaws so please check photos for details.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy its tasteful fashion!
