This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with large 'temari' (ball for girls) motifs, which are embroidered with ribbon.
The colorful ribbons were elaborately embroidered.
Textile is soft and sleek satin silk.
It is relatively short.(10'11"/332cm)
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) which will be shown when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counter clockwise).
There are loose stitches of the gold foiled threads on 'otaiko'(square bow) and other areas.
Although there is no photo of it, some gold foiled threads on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) have been cut.
There is discoloration on 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
There are some other flaws such as frays on the edges and background.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very charming design which only vintage items have.
