This is a tasteful Tsumugi Nagoya obi
with 'matsukawa-hishi'(pine bark diamond) design, which is embroidered with Sashiko technique.
'Asanoha'(hemp leaf) and 'Ajiro' (fishing-net) pattern is added on the 'matsukawa-hishi'(pine bark diamond).
Textile is rustic Tsumugi
silk and has soft and nubby touch.
It is embroidered as 'Ushikubi Tsumugi' on the wrong side of tare end, but not sure as the thick touch is totally different from the general ones.
It has slight discoloration overall and patinas in places.
It also has slight folding lines, but the embroidery work is in very good condition.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It seems to be not suitable to wear due to the patinas.
Please enjoy this elegant design of Sashiko embroidery.
