This is a vintage summer Maru obi
with 'shibagaki'(firewood hedge), 'Torii'(traditional Japanese gate of Shinto shrine) and four seasons flowers on 'matsukawa-dori'(pine bark shape) pattern, which is dyed.
It is a refreshing summer obi with 'monsha'(transparent silk with woven pattern) stream pattern on egg yellow background.
The fine 'ginnkoma'(silver outlining embroidery work) and embroidery works are applied on the pattern for adding extra gorgeousness to it.
Textile is transparent exquisite soft sha silk.
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
It is relatively short.(13'3"/404cm)
There is a faint brown stain on 'otaiko'(square bow) which are not that noticeable.(refer to the 3rd flaws photo)
There are more black stains on upper 'tare'(wide end) which are not marked on the figure.
Although there is no photo of it, there is a pulled woven thread for 2.4"(6cm) around 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
There are some other flaws such as folding lines, discoloration throughout.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very charming design which only vintage items have.
