This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with large "Karabana"(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is embroidered.
Textile is exquisite soft silk with woven decorative pattern.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) which will be shown when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise).
It was sewn by non-professional person. So that, it was roughly sewn.
Although it's not mentioned on the sheet and photo, there are frays on the embroidered pattern of 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
The silver foils of the foiled threads are almost gone.
There is a stain on upper 'otaiko'(square bow).
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
*It has slight smell of insect repellent.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very charming design which only vintage items have.
Enjoy wearing the tasteful design.
