This is a vintage Irotomesode
kimono with nandina, 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), rose and 'Botan'(peony) on stripe pattern, which is elaborately dyed.
The gentle pattern emerges out against the moss green background.
Fine embroidery work is added on the main parts.
The bottom is slightly padded.
Textile is very soft damask effect(rinzu) silk with woven 'shippou-tsunagi' (interlocking circles) and 'kikko' (tortoise shell) pattern.
There is an embroidered kamon(family crest) on the nape.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
*Though the photo shows uneven colors by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
As the figure shown, it has relatively prominent discoloration, prominent dyestuff on the left front panel (E) and loosen stitches of embroidery work (C).
It has some other flaws such as smudges, tiny stains and flaws on 'hakkake' (lower part of lining).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws by ages, it is in very good condition overall.
Please enjoy the elegant classical taste of Japanese vintage via this item.
