This is a stylish Tsumugi Fukuro obi
with 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in China) and oshidori (mandarin duck) pattern, which is dyed and embroidered with Soshu Embroidery technique.
Textile is exquisite rustic silk and has soft and relatively nubby touch.
*The actual background color is relatively more reddish than the photos.
It seems like the original owner of this obi enjoyed many fancy bow.
So that there are folding lines and wrinkles through out.
It has slight discoloration and tiny snags in places.
However, it is in very good conditions on otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
