This is an opened Tsumugi Nagoya obi
with a design of apple on 'tanzaku'(strip of paper), which is made of kiribame (patchwork) technique.
Textile is Tsumugi
silk and has soft but nubby touch with rustic atmosphere.
Both ends are roughly sewn by individuals.
There is not folding lines and it seems to be untied one.
It has patinas in places, especially maegara(front patterned part) is disturbing.
However, when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), they will be hidden.
It has some other flaws such as slight discoloration.
Please check photos for details.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy its zestful Tsumugi
