This is a vintage Irotomesode
Kimono with a design of 'botan'(peony), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'sakura'(cherry blossom), which is dyed.
The elegant flower design emerges out against the purple background.
'Hagoita'(battledore) and 'karako'(Chinese child) are also designed on it.
Fine embroidery work is added to the design.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft but textured touch.
The sleeve length is long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
The collar is Hiro-eri(unfolded), and the bottom is padded slightly.
It has five dyed kamons(family crest).
It has a chest stain on the lining, and it is reflecting to the outside.(A)
It is discolored slightly overall, and has some stains.
It has some other flaws so please check photos for details.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, discoloration can be seen around kamon parts.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
