This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with large genjiguruma(wheel) motifs, which is embroidered.
The fine embroidery works which were done a stitch by a stitch are three dimensional and beautifully glossy.
Textile is soft 'Jinken'(rayon).
The woven silver foiled threads elegantly shine.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) which will be shown when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise).
There are folding lines, slight discoloration on the background due to its age.
There is a small stain on 'otaiko'(square bow).
There are faint blue stains on the the plain area of belt which could be hidden when you tie it.(A)
There is a small stain on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).(refer to the 6th flaws photo)
There are snags.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very charming design which only vintage items have.
