This is a vintage Hon Fukuro obi
by Tatsumura, one of the most leading textile companies in Japan.
It has dynamic and colorful 'Kiri'(paulownia ) pattern, which is woven colorfully against black base color.
Textile is silk, and it has soft to the touch.
The inside pattern of Otaiko(Uradaiko) and the pattern at Tesaki end(Hatemon) which can only be seen a glance are distinguishing points of vintage Tatsumura.
It says 'made by Tatsumura' inside of Tare end.
There are tiny snags on Maegara of Kansai-maki (rotate obi clockwise) side, but they are not disturbing.
Stain on Kanto-maki (rotate obi counterclockwise) side is barely noticeable.
It has some other flaws, such as folding lines, as shown on photos.
Please see photos for details.
If you do not mind the small flaws mentioned, it can continue to be worn.
We would like you to enjoy this firm and impressive design by Tatsumura!
