This is a Fukuro obi
with bold phoenix
and 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in china) pattern, which is woven in chic colors.
Textile is silk, and it has soft to the touch.
Corners of Tare end, below the Otaiko pattern, and edges are frayed, and parts of the edges are coming loose as shown on photos and drawing image.
Fray on Maegara of Kansai-maki (rotate obi clockwise) side and flaw near it (sorry no photos) are foil threads being twisted.
Folding line is closer to one edge, so if you use Kanto-maki (rotate obi counterclockwise), the line will not show.
Please see photos for details.
If you know how to repair and sew, this can continue to be tied as an obi.
