This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of Chinese children playing the flute and having gunpai-mark(referee's fan), which is embroidered.
The light hue pattern emerges out against the black background.
Textile is glossy shusu(satin) silk and has soft touch.
The wrong side is jinken (rayon).
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.
It has smudges on the tare end.
It has patinas on the embroidery part of otaiko(square bow) in places.
It has tiny snags and patinas on 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
It has some other flaws such as folding lines.

Though not indicated, it has smudges on the tare corners.
It also has a seam on 6.89in(17.5cm) from the wrong side tare.
However, it is in very good conditions as a vintage.
