This is a vintage Maru obi
with an elegant pattern such as treasures, seasonal flowers, flute and 'kaiawase'(ancient shell matching game), which is woven.
Traditional pattern is woven with gold foil threads, and 'kumihimo'(tasseled cord) design is woven vibrantly.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
The fabric is getting weak.
It has slight discoloration, tiny patinas and smudges overall by ages.
Stains on the right side are almost slight or small, so they are not so prominent.
Please check photos for details.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable.
However, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
