This is a vintage Sanpo Kimono with a graceful design of 'botan'(peony), which is dyed.
* Sanpo Kimono has a distinctive Komon
Kimono pattern with ryozuma(mirror image) design on right and left front panels, which are often seen on kimonos made before the WWII*
Fine embroidery work is added on parts of the pattern.
Pattern of seasonal plants and flowers on 'zigami'(paper cut of shape of fan or umbrella etc.) is design on the base.
Textile is silk, and it has soft to the touch.
'Koushi' (lattice) is woven in places.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded), but it is folded and stitched as bachi-eri(folded collar).
If you unpick the stitches inside of the sleeves, sleeve length can be extended for additional 30cm(11.7in).
It has light brownish stains on left front panel, reddish stain over chest area, and patinas.
Discoloration and smudge are rather light.
It has rather prominent wear in places of the collar.
