This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with shikishi(square paper) pattern.
It has been also woven kiku(chrysanthemum) and ireko-hishi(several layers dyamond shape) designs on it.
Textile is silk and has soft touch.
The length is short, 9'12"(304cm), and it might be made by vintage Maru obi.
Discoloration and smudges are slight ones, but there is a prominent fray like tear near te-saki(one end).
Its fabric seems to be getting weak, and it doesn't have enough strength to be tied.
For the detail, please check figures and photos.
However, we hope you can enjoy its classical design of vintage at your hands.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
