This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with flower and bird on plate pattern, which is woven.
Lots of gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven diagonal lattice pattern, and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) will be a little displaced when tied.
Its length is rather long, 12'7"1/8(384cm).
There are some more patinas on the sedate colored parts of the pattern than the figure shown.
Although not shown on the figure, discoloration can be seen on the sedate colored areas.
There is a seam of fabric on the wrong side at about 2'10"5/8(88cm) from the tare end.
There are other flaws so please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
