This is a tasteful vintage Maru obi
with flying crane, 'matsu'(pine tree), 'ume'(Japanese plum), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and castle pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, it is discolored overall.
There are some teared parts by fray on the corners of tare end and tesaki(narrow end).
Lots of woven threads of the edges are frayed and partly teared.
Besides, it has a hole so please check detail photos.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the fabric is getting weak.
However, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
