This is a gorgeous vintage Maru obi
with pair bird on 'tatewaku'(waving line) pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, lots of woven threads of the pattern are missing by fray.
There are frayed parts on the corners of tare end and 'tesaki'(narrow end). (indicated as smudge)
There are other flaws such as large stains(A) and prominent folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
