This is a fashionable Chirimen Nagoya obi
with a design of 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on 'kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps), which is dyed.
Vibrant red outline is dyed with Shibori (tie-dye) technique.
Also, asanoha(hemp leaf) pattern is dyed on the base.
Textile is chirimen(crepe) silk and has soft but textured touch.
It has patinas on otaiko and maegara(front patterned part), and they are bothering a little with the sedate colored background.
Other flaws are not so disturbing.
Please check detail photos.
*It has a bit of mold smell.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy its exotic fashion!
