This is a Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi
with colorful cloud pattern, which is woven.
Gold and silver foil threads twinkle gently.
Textile is exquisite silk and has stiff touch.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It has a stain on the left of otaiko(square bow), and it may be bothering with its pale colored background.
(refer to the 1st flaws photo)
The smudges on the crease of upper otaiko(square bow) are not so bothering.
It also has slight folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
If you do not mind the small flaws mentioned, it can continue to be worn.
Please enjoy this graceful piece.
