This is a Tsumugi Fukuro obi
with refined 'botan'(peony), Shiba(grass), 'Kaede' (maples), Matsu (pine tree) in Kasumi'mist' pattern, which is woven with sukui technique, a kind of tsuzure weaving technique.
Gold foil threads included in the pattern twinkle gently.
Textile is Tsumugi
silk, and it has soft to the touch.
Maegara is only on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
There is a line of discoloration near Maegara, which may show when tied. (sorry no photos)
It does not have any folding lines, and it seems unworn.
Stains on Maegara should not show when tied properly.
If you do not mind the discoloration near Maegara, you can still wear the obi.
