This is a Fukuro obi
with glamorous embroidery motif of folding fans with gorgeous flowers, 'Kicho'( partition used by noble people in ancient days) and 'katawaguruma'( wheels of royal cart, which are stored in the stream to avoid drying ) .
Drawn work technique is added on patter, and its elaborate work is like a lace!
Numbers of gold and silver foil threads are used in the embroidery, and silver threads included in the fabric twinkles gently.
Textile is soft silk.
Embroidery of the Otaiko pattern is frayed and the yarns became slightly fluffy.(not disturbing) (sorry no photos)
It has prominent folding lines, and the wrong side is slightly discolored.
Please see photos for details.
Although it has some flaws as mentioned, it is still in wearable condition.
