This is a Shioze Nagoya obi
with serene far mountain, 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and Sasa(bamboo leaves) motif with 'somewake'(dyed with separate design) pattern, which is dyed.
Textile is shioze silk, and it has crisp touch.
Length is 336cm(11'0") , rather short.
It has folding lines and slightly discolored throughout.
Slight patinas are seen on Otaiko and Maegara patterns including the lighter colored areas of the obi.
There is a small dyestuff stain on one side of Maegara. (sixth photo below the drawing image) When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), clean side of Maegara will show.
Please see photos for details.
Although it has some flaws as mentioned, it is still in wearable condition.
