This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with flower and birds on 'Michinaga-dori'(wavy line) pattern, which is woven with foils.
It also has classical design of 'Hana-bishi' (flower diamond) and 'Arisugawa' (stylized deer).
'Raden' (mother of pearl work) is also added on the pattern and shine fascinating by the angle of light.
It really is an eye-catchy piece with its gracefulness and unique bird like archaeopteryx.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Lining is not added inside.
It has folding lines from the tesaki to the tare end, and the one on otaiko(square bow) is slight and not so noticeable.(refer to the 3rd flaws photo)
Foils are partially twisted .(indicated as fray A)
The twisted foil is on the center of 'Maegara' (front patterned part), so it is not so noticeable when tied.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough in very good condition.
This exotic design will brighten up you on the scene for sure!
