This is a vintage Irotomesode
Kimono with an elegant design of large flower 'kusudama'(round-shaped ornament), 'noshi' (ceremonial origami fold) and kaiawase (ancient shell matching game), which is dyed.
The fine embroidery works are applied on the pattern for adding extra gorgeousness to it.
There is woven 'shippou-tsunagi'(interlocking circles) pattern on the background.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
The long sleeves are the feature of vintage kimono.
There are three dyed mon(family crest) on the nape and sleeves.
The hem is lightly padded.
It looks like it was an originally 5 mon kimono.
The two Kamon on the chests were erased.(There are some
remaining mon there.)
There are noticeable discoloration and patinas throughout due to its age.
There are stains caused by sweat on the both underarms.
The one on the right chest is faint.
But the one on the left chest is noticeable.
There are some other flaws such as noticeable signs of wear on the collar, repaired tears on the lining.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very charming design which only vintage items have.
