This is an eye-catching vintage Maru obi
with houou(phoenix) and 'kiri'(paulownia) on 'tatewaku'(waving line) pattern, which is woven.
Its vibrant pattern emerges out dynamically against the black background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has kaikiri lines(end mark line) on both ends, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
There are frayed parts on the corner of tare end and 'tesaki'(narrow end).
Smudges can be seen throughout both edges.
There is a stain upper otaiko.
It has liner smudges in places.
Slight discoloration can be seen on the pattern.
There are other flaws such as folding lines.
