This is a vintage Maru obi
with kiku(chrysanthemum) on matsukawa-hishi(pine bark diamond) design.
It has been dyed tastefully, partly embroidered, shibori(tie-dye) like design is seen.
Textile is silk with woven plant pattern, and has soft touch.
The length is rather short, 12'11"(394cm).
For the right side, if you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(rotate obi clockwise), maegara(front design) will show.
For the wrong side, the pattern is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
So if you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(rotate obi counterclockwise), maegara will show.
There are discoloration and patinas due to its old age and especially patinas are noticeable.
(*discoloration: 4th of photo of flaws)(*patina: 3rd photo of flaws)
Also it has other flaws, so please check detail photos.
However, we hope you can enjoy its tasteful design of vintage at your hands!
