This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with exotic Papaver rhoeas motif, which is painted(not dyed).
This technique is called 'pente', which was the replacement of dyeing when people were poor during/just after WWII.
Textile is soft 'Shusu'(satin) silk.
Maegara is only on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
The base color is discolored due to its old age.
There are some flaws, and flaw (A) is on Maegara.
The pattern of Maegara is slightly frayed.
It has some other flaws as shown on photos.
