This is a charming vintage Maru obi
with rice stalk and sparrow pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Its length is rather short, 12'8"3/4(388cm).
It has rather large whitish stains.
Some gold foil threads of the pattern are missing by fray.(3rd flaw photo)
There are other flaws such as folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
