This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with flowers such as 'Botan'(peony), 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and "Sakura"(cherry blossom) and blue birds pattern, which is dyed and embroidered.
The fine embroidery works give depth of field to the vivid dyed pattern.
Textile is exquisite soft plain silk.
Although there is no photo of it, there is discoloration on the background due to its age.
There are smudges on the 'otaiko'(square bow) part.
There are noticeable stains on 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'taresaki'(end of wide part).
There are large stains on the 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) which will be seen when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise).
There is a large dyestuff(A) on 'tesaki'(end of folded end), 1'6"-2'3"(48-70cm) from 'tesaki'(end of folded end).
There are some other flaws such as a small hole.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
It may be not in good enough condition to wear due to those noticeable flaws.
However, it is still charming design which we would like you to enjoy.
