This is a stylish vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of shishi(lion) 'botan' (peony) on 'matsukawa-bishi'(pine bark diamond), which is embroidered.
The embroidered design has three-dimension glossy beauty.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft and light touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
The obi has one side designed at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), designed side of maegara will show.
Its length is rather short, 10'7"1/2(324cm).
There are patinas and loosing stitches(4th flaw photo) on otaiko and maegara(front patterned part), and are disturbing when tied.
It has some seams of fabric in places.
There are other flaws such as discoloration overall(7th flaw photo) and stains.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
