This is a charming Meisen
Kimono with hail pattern, which is woven.
The lovely pattern emerges out against the reddish navy background.
Textile is jinken(rayon) and has light touch.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar).
The lining is cotton.
It has basting stitches and seems just been cleaned.
The whitish stain on the back is on a wide range and noticeable.
It has many tiny holes, but the fabric has strength enough.
It has some other flaws such as discoloration, molds and prominent patinas on the lining.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the large stain.
Especially around the shoulders and bottom are prominent.
The lovely and retro design could be useful for your handicraft.
