This is a graceful vintage Irotomesode
Kimono with a design of 'tsuzumi' (Japanese hand drum), 'kaioke'(a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game -'kaiawase') and flower such as 'botan' (peony), which is dyed.
Fine embroidery work is added on the design partly.
Textile is damask effect(rinzu) silk with woven 'shokkou'(octagon and rectangle) pattern, and has soft touch.
The collar is Bachi-eri(folded collar).
Its length is rather short, 5'5/8(154cm).
It has an embroidered kamon(family crest).
It has slight discoloration and patinas by ages.
The patinas on left front panel and some stains are disturbing.(E,G)
It also has prominent smudges on cuffs and bottom.
There are other flaws so please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
