This is a graceful vintage Maru obi
with a pattern such as royal cart, 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and bridge on jigami'(fan shape), which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Its length is rather short, 12'8"3/4(388cm).
It has discoloration and patinas overall by ages.(1st flaw photo)
Although not shown on the figure, there are frayed parts on the corner of 'tesaki'(narrow end), too.
There are other flaws such as folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
